Another Flash Mob Job: We sheet mulch another neighbor’s yard
But first, here’s one pic from last Wednesday’s Community Dinner. Mike, the man on the left, is a new Green Acres Village friend who has so far gifted us with 60 bags of leaves, and says there’s more to come. We are using leaves as final winter cover for our gardens.

New greenhouse! Garden beds mulched for winter, community dinners continue
This has been an unusually active late October/early November. Not just everyone running the emotional gamut of processing the historic shocking election of Donald Trump, but all sorts of stuff going on here, “on the ground.” And I do wonder: might our current zeal for getting things done be one way of processing difficult emotions? Somehow, by mulching garden beds — layering with manure, leaves, straw, compost, grass — might we be composting our own “waste,” to regenerate in ways we do not now understand?
Brie’s Garden Gift
I walked outside this morning, only to discover this basket, which Brie had been busy filling. Such a beautiful little display! I asked her what it was for. A neighbor, she said, who told Brie she was sad. YES!
