“My grandmother makes a pot roast with potatoes and carrots every time we visit her,”
— says Arielle, who wanted her dinner to be one that reminded her of her family. At some point I asked her how we were doing. Fine! She said.
Arielle, one of our new podmates, in last night’s second weekly Community Dinner of the new semester, served her family pot roast up for all of us along with other goodies made by and with her step mom Leslie, who also participated, calling this second-ever (for her) Community Dinner already a habit. Aaron’s mom Joanne also attended, a welcome surprise. She comes once in a while, and this time brought with her news of a new film to be shown downtown at the Buskirk Chumley on Sunday afternoon, at 4:30 p.m. I plan to attend.

Meanwhile, we are planting and harvesting seeds of our own with each weekly Community Dinner held in the Green Acres Village inside Green Acres Neighborhood. And last night, we were honored with the presence of a Woofer from France who is presently criss-crossing this vast land in a rental car sowing and reaping seeds of understanding as she goes. She came with Aaron, and will be woofing at his farm this week.

Hey Mariella! Where were you? Little Oliver (second from right) would have loved to play with Juakim and Asiri . . .
